What's happening on the farm. |

It has been the long summer holiday here in South Africa so there has been a reduction in activity.
However, we have a big fencing project underway to seperate the Rhinoceros Hill Nature Reserve from the rest of the farm. This is to keep any domestic stock off the pristine renosterveld.
One day of excitement was before Christmas when a container arrived to be loaded with wine for the USA. The container was 6 meters and so did not extend over the back wheels of the tractor causing poor grip. The truck got itself completely stuck while trying to turn round necessitating unhooking the trailer. The tractor itself then got stuck and a rescue truck was unable to pull it out for the same reason, no weight on the back. Eventually we got it out with the aid of the old farm Fiat tractor.
Of course, on the one day we have to load the container it rained.
